Dashry Creations is an up and coming eCommerce retail store that shows promise as a prominent social responsibility company offering signature T-shirt collections with messages advocating for continued worldwide gambling awareness and responsiveness.  Dashry Creations’ vision is to position its gambling responsibly T-shirt awareness campaign “Please Use Gambling Sense” (P.U.G.S) and Lifting with Laughter and Love tagline to support problem gamblers and to partner with small, midsize, and larger gambling addiction organizations to bring awareness and resource linkages to the most vulnerable populations affected by problem gambling.  

Dashry Creations communicates its mission of advocacy through its company’s mascot P.U.G.S the Canine Counselor T-shirt collection messages to influence proper gambling behaviors and activities.  Dashry Creation’s P.U.G.S the Canine Counselor mascot offers sage and sometimes sarcastic advice to recreational gamblers everywhere and strongly believes in the healing power of laughter and love.  Allowing pug parents and animal lovers to have a place to see this beloved dog celebrated in the right way.

Unfortunately, problem gambling is known to have a negative consequence on the socioeconomic and health status of individuals, families, and communities resulting in costly and unnecessary disparities worldwide.  

Dashry Creations’ Founder and CEO Darryl Lasker is a 21 year United States Veteran and currently holds several honors showcasing his dedication to creating public value in the United States. In 2018, Mr. Lasker earned his Master’s degree Summa Cum Laude,  2017 Director’s ICARE Award – Veterans’ Wait Times Project, 2016 Winner VHA Employee Innovation Competition, 2019-2009 Individual Performance Cash Incentive Awards, 2012 RCS South Central Region 3B “Above and Beyond” Certificate of Recognition, 2011 Federal Executive Association of Arkansas Employee of the Year Award, and the 2010 Special Contribution Award for Exceptional Performance.

Mr. Lasker qualifies as a recreational gambler and is passionate about supporting gamblers of all types to help integrate social responsibility interventions to eradicate problem gambling as well as support the gambling industry by empowering all gamblers everywhere to Please Use Gambling Sense (P.U.G.S).

United States Gambling Industry

According to the American Gaming Association, gambling in the U.S. is a $240 billion industry, employing 1.7 million people in 40 states. Currently, in the U.S., 1.6 billion people gamble during any given year with over 4.2 billion impacted by the gambling industry.

United Kingdom Gambling Industry

According to the U.K. Gambling Commission 2019 National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms report, the United Kingdom gambling industry is reported to be a $6 billion industry. Gambling participation in the U.K equates to 46% of the population aged 16 years old and over. According to the statistics, in 2018, the gambling industry employed over 100,000 employees across the United Kingdom.

Germany Gambling Industry

In 2018, The Handelsblatt Research Institute reported, Germany has a $14.2 billion gambling industry. In 2019, the German Games Industry Association reported, the gambling market in Germany employs 27,854 people.  In 2018, the German Center for Addiction (DHS) reported, up to 200,000 people worked in the gambling industry.

For these reasons, Dashry Creations’ P.U.G.S. the Canine Counselor campaign serves a large segment of the gambling population worldwide by encouraging and inspiring responsible gambling in hopes of helping to eradicate gambling addiction. Dashry Creations also fights against this addiction by donating 1% of sales revenue to the National Council on Problem Gambling. CLOSING STATEMENT

Pug lovers designs were inspired by the fact that pug lovers and pug parents allowed me to use the object of their affections as my mascot. And, my research tells me that pugs are happy, affectionate, and playful. So, let’s use this loveable animal nature to create a better path to Lifting with laughter and love to communicate and encourage gambling responsibility.
